them away so as to retain some of the mystery of the Bible??
pretending he doesn't know what evidence there would be for a global
flood. I wonder how he accounts for the effect of salt water on land
animals and plants, and its dilution on sea creatures? Doug
sci-archaeology group and I try to keep it that way. If you want to know my
answer to why there is no evidence to the flood, part of that answer does
indeed include that God might have purposely manipulated the remaining
evidence to purposely keep non-believers out of heaven.
Yahweh the evil magician strikes again.
Get it through your pea-brain. There was no flood. It is impossible, period.
It is as if he gladly
leaves clues for believers to find, like 511 BCE dating in the VAT4956 that
clearly will eventually redate the NB Period accordingly. But for the non-believers,
he doesn't jump through hoops to get them to believe. Instead he gives them
hurdles and stumbling blocks and complex issues pointing in the other
direction so they are surely NOT to believe. Then when Judgment Day
comes it will be: "Oh, didn't the Bible tell you that?" Then all the science
will be explained, where the evidence is revealed that scientists are missing, etc.
And then they will be thrown into the lake of fire.
Religious crap is OFF TOPIC here. Take it where there are more braindead people. You and David are presently our only two braindead posters.
Now that's an answer to your question, but it has little to do with
archaeology, but with Biblical doctrine and theory. I indeed, was avoiding
an invovled reply on this particular board, which is about archaeology, and
this thread which is about Solomon.
Except you have NOTHING but the off topic bible to claim anything of interest occurred.
My position is, that if I can't prove archaeologically there was a global flood,
then you don't have to believe it, and I will accept your position that it's a myth.
But Solomon is a different story. I'm focussed on him right now, archaeologically.
The flood and Solomon are only loosely related.
Solomon is also a myth. So is Abraham, David and biblical Israel. Those people and that that kingdom appear only the your favorite book of magic.
On the other hand, because you can't prove absolutely there was no flood,
One does not need to prove anything. You have to establish that the impossible did in fact occur.
only the non likelihood it occurred per your interpretation of the specifics, then
it's not a "Biblical" issue for me. I can't really prove Isaac ever had a wife named
Sarah either....
There is nothing for you to date without your favorite book of magic.
