David and
Solomon
Please provide some evidence that these people existed.
1. The Tel Dan Stele speaks of the "House of David".
2. Shishak lists a lot of cities he destroyed. The Bible records his
invasion and dates it precisely where the RC14 dating is dating that event
in 871 BCE.
3. Solomon was said to build at Gezer, Hazor and Megiddo and we have
evidence of massive structures.
4. The end of the Philistine pottery period by the middle of the 10th
century BCE matches the timing for David's rule from 950-910 BCE.
Someone had to do the above. Since the Biblical timeline matches with the
archaeological timeline, the Bible confirms David and Solomon.
That's plenty of evidence. If you're the sort to be skeptical, then that's
great. I draw a hard line for archaeologists as well to get their facts
straight.
