None but the village idiot would pick De Vaux's Qumran stone
disk - Locus 45, object 1229: "disque de pierre" to troll about.
* My own interest in the artefact is not as a narrow specialist.
Instead, a hypothesis may be formed for wider implications ---
a) Qumran was Essene between c. 200 BC and 68 AD.
b) The family of Jesus (Heli, Joseph, Mary, James, Jude etc.)
were Essene and once walked the Qumran site.
c) The NT mentions Qumran and its outposts by its own
consistent terminology.
