NEW DEVELOPMENT :
In the "Discussion" about the WIKI-article on the Phaistos Disk, I had
introduced a discussion about the DISK's CLAY.
Well, this discussion has been DELETED by a sock-puppet of the "Wiki-
administrator-in-chef" on the subject, the well-known (in his Suiss-
canton !) sectarian Dieter Bachmann... DISCUSSION FORBIDDEN about the
ORIGIN of the Disk's CLAY !!!!
So works WIKIPEDIA, the Enclyclodedia directed by a handful of
SECTARISTS !

The way WIKIPEDIA works is becoming a caricature.
Having got a look at the article on the Phaistos Disk in this so-
called "Encyclopedia", I've been shocked by a categorical (and un-
substantiated) statement of a guy saying that "there was no doubt
about a Cretan origin" of this artifact. I reacted by adding that this
opinion was contradicted by the study made c. 1925 by a Greek
geologist, at Arthur Evans' request : "the clay of the Disk is not
Cretan". The raction was were quick :SUPPRESSION of my mention and
INTERDICTION for me to answer to this suppression, except in a
"confidential location", never read by anybody !..
So, to make at least some people aware of the "motive" I got, and of
my answer to it, I am publishing it here, where, at least, people IS
FREE to EXPRESS their opinions. Hurrah for this newsgroup, and shame
to Wikipedia !
QUOTATION of the FORBIDDEN DISCUSSION :
Thank you for your contributions to the Phaistos Disk article.
However, it would be far more useful if your contributions could be
referenced to [[WP:RS|reliable sources]] rather than just added.
Please also keep in mind WP policy on "undue weight", and avoid over-
using one source (Faucounau). It would also be helpful if you
registered with a name. Thanks, --[[User:Macrakis|Macrakis]] ([[User

Thanks for your remark. But I used reliable sources ! If YOU don't
know them, it is not my fault... For the question of the non-Cretan
origin of the Disk's clay, for instance, you may find mention of the
rapport of the Greek geologist in Arthur Evans' papers. This result
has also been mentioned by G. Glotz in his book "La Civilisation
Egéenne" on page 434. More recently, the fact has been also mentioned
in the journal "Les grands secrets de l'Archéologie" , (April 2008 ,
page 12). Moreover, I found very funny to have been blocked from
editing, at your request, by "East 718", an "amateur boxer" , on such
a topic... TYPICAL of the way WIKIPEDIA works !!!!!

What an expose! Thanks for sharing your negative experience.

The problem is that this is becoming SYSTEMATIC with WIKIPEDIA, of
which "administrators" are co-opted. So, after a while, they have
become A KIND of a SECT, lead by a handful of guys who IMPOSE THEIR
OWN VIEWS on every topic. At its beginning, WIKIPEDIA was working in a
scientific way : in case of conflict, the ARTICLE was blocked, until a
compromise-redaction was found. But to-day, the AUTHOR of any view,
different from "what the administrator-in-charge thinks", is blocked
by a friend of the said administrator, would he be a boxer in case of
an archaeological topic, or a musician in case of a topic on
boxing !!!!
Sad ! Very sad !..
