OK, that's a start.
What would 'large-scale' mean in the context of hunter-gatherers with typical group sizes of on the order of 20-50?
And what would the organizing of warfare in that context look like in the archaeological record?
Pardon but you are arguing with an idiot probing the depths of its idiocy.
Violence is one of the aspects of the behavior of essentially all multicellular animals. It has survival value. Social species fight in groups. Two on a side or a million on a side does not change the violent behavior. The only change we have seen in history is going from groups of individual fighters squaring off to individuals fighting as groups. That is from each in the group finding an individual in the other group to fight to the locked shields of the Roman legions. The only thing that might discriminate a brawl from a war is the sides expecting to meet and fight it out. But that does not separate the gunfight at OK corral from a war. And it says there are no wars between mafia families. It also implies an exchange of ICBMs is not a war.
The word war is a convenient but poorly defined label.
