Will Peter Alaca and Christopher Ingham find the cause of their ignorance?

Peter and Christopher should hire a defender or
lead a less aggressive life.

Specifically, my complaint starts with Peter's recent
charge that I want to flood or dominate the group.

The next piece of nonsense is Christopher's clumsy
gibe that I am frenzied or insane.

The two of them do not speak for most posters in
this NG and charge in blindly.

My recent posts show both seriousness and sense
of humor re: archaeology:

a) the ones about Dame Kathleen Kenyon, Denise
Schmandt-Besserat, the first arrival of humans in
Australia, and the origin of war are serious.

b)I was always serious about Qumran but, as far as
I can tell, no sci.archer was capable of joining in to
make the conversation go somewhere. There are
very serious issues to settle but even the experts
get bogged down as seen on the ANE-2 Yahoo
Group. In case a few sci.archers are curious -

---------------------------------

Backed up by scholarly references, I have made the strong
case (don't hesitate to ask me questions) -

a) The Qumran "stone disk", listed in De Vaux's notes, was a
sundial, used by Essenes, later converted into an odometer.

b) "All the pesharim belong together, reflecting the presence
of the Teacher of Righteousness. Only one edition of each of
them, some 18 in all, was found in the caves. This fact, with
the fact that they are an ephemeral kind of literature, means
that it cannot be maintained that they were composed at an
earlier period and that those found in the caves are copies of
earlier compositions."

c) "The radiocarbon dating of the relevant group of sectarian
documents within the Dead Sea Scrolls, when correlated
with paleograohy and the contents of the documents, allows
the possibility that the Teacher of Righteousness lived and
died during the period of the foundation of Christianity. This
conclusion is contrary to a view now commonly held, that
the radiocarbon datings have disproved a Christian connection."

d) 2 figures within a small subset of DSS - identification of
John the Baptist as Teacher of Righeousness and Jesus
Christ as Wicked Priest.

My reference to door-like elements in pictures at the
Chogha Zanbil site (one of the best-preserved ziggurats)
was my sense of humor.
