Archaeologists of the Landschaftsverbandes
Westfalen-Lippe, have found a 5000 year old
megalithic grave in Büren-Brenken (North Rhine-
Westphalia). The grave was first mentioned 150
years ago but its location forgotten since. It
was found because the local farmer everytime when
ploughing the field stumbled upon big stones.
The at least 20 meters long and two meters wide
gallery grave made of limestone slabs was buried
under c 1 meter of clay. The burials on the floor
of the tomb are still untouched.
