Listeros,

The claimed 40,000 year old human footprints found in Mexico a few
years back have been resurrected. In Science News, it is reported at
the American Geophysical Union meeting that 3 dimensional laser scans
of the prints confirm their human origins.

Science News has the story and a photo here;
http://www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/32728/title/Footprints_in_the_ash

and a tiny URL;

Needless to say, this will generate plenty of controversy,

I don't understand how a laserscan can confirm that
it is human. And to me the result of the scan looks
less like a footprint than the original.
