It doesn't have to be perfectly still because the images can be aligned before
stacking. This is built from a series of individual exposures, however. I don't
know the details, but I'm pretty sure it was made with some type of video
camera, probably a webcam. What you get initially is a movie, and afterwards you
pull individual frames to combine. An ISS transit across the Sun is very brief,
and requires capturing several frames per second at least.
