I'm in ~mag 4.5 to mag 5 skies at best, with city light polution to the
north and east (making the horizons in these directions far worse than
mag 4.5), and with my best skies to the south and west, and a pretty
good zentih as well. I'm in a mixed rural housing and farming area
about 35 miles south and 20 miles west from two moderately large cities
( the larger of the two is to the north, and the smaller is to the east).
