If you provide a logical argument, I'll try to follow it. If you keep making
broad statements w/o proof or making connections to sensible things (i.e.,
if you insists on stating uncorrelated thoughts), I won't.
I don't see how I can be wrong by wanting to discover and learn new things.
If your point is that the world could stand improvement and that not all
technology has improved out lot, I do not disagree. If you are concerned
that powerful people control much of lives for profit (not to improve out
lot), I would not disagree.
However, it is not fair to piss on science and technology in general. Some
of it has actually extended the length of our lives (I'd never have lived
past childhood w/o antibiotics).
What ideal period of time would you prefer to live in and how would you
suggest we shut people's curiosity off?
I actually think it's healthy for people to disagree on issues. However, I
prefer the debate to be centered on facts. Those facts don't necessarily
have to be based on science. For example, if a town didn't want a K-Mart for
aesthetic reasons only and not for a concern about "paving paradise", that's
their business.
