The true test of her visual acuity will come in mid July when we will be
attending the Table Mountain Star Party in the mountains above Ellensberg
WA., If she can see things as well as she claims (who am I to doubt her) she
should be able to see some of the brighter DSO's under the dark skies up
there. Quite frankly I can't wait, I have never had much time under high mag
skies with my 8" Dob., and she will have a 4 1/2" short tube go-to Newt. to
herself. Is anybody else going? Would be nice to meet a fellow S.A.A'r.
By the way, I think she was splitting Mizar and Alcor while I was
splitting Mizar and Mizar B. with my scope. I will have to go out and see if
I can split Mizar and Alcor myself now that I know how far away they
actually are. Will let you know later on.
