I never used Windex for cleaning optics - it may work
very well, I don't know. But just a word of caution from
me:
Couple of weeks ago I cleaned my car windows with Windex.
It left bad oily residue on my windows, especially visible
when looking through the windows toward bright light. At
first I assumed that the problem is probably caused by
something in the car wash solution, but then I found that
the same thing happens on the _inside_ of the windows.
Still, I'm not sure it was caused by the Windex, but I don't
see what else may be the problem. Maybe my bottle was
from a bad batch, I don't know...
