Hi Rat:

I'll probably hate myself in the morning for getting involved in this, but some
things I just can't let go by without comment.

For starters, IMHO, Phil's binocular book is a little bit more than "cute,"
covers just about anything of interest to the average binocular fan, and is far
superior to anything else on the market, both in its content and the quality of
its prose. No, it doesn't have charts, but there is an accompanying and
inxepensive companion CD, TUBA, that more than makes up for that--in spades.

Do you know the man are these just your impressions filtered by your being teed
off that you were asked to follow the _rules_ of the group you joined?

Phil is a gentleman, an accomplished writer, and one of the best and nicest
people it is my pleasure to know.

Peace,
