A couple more thoughts:

1) At only 13 lbs and 16 inches long, an 8" SCT is easy to mount.

2) With it you can do CCD at F3.3, and CCD and Film at F6.3, F10 and beyond,
with a few easily attached adapters.

3) The crayford and mirror lock are hardly necessary.

4) The primary advantage of the SCT... see #1 and #2.
