This is a general question on the safety of ebay. Much has been written
on protecting oneself in ebay transactions, and I won't repeat it. I
would only note that I have sold a few fairly expensive items on an ad
hoc basis (i.e., I'm not a frequent or regular seller) and the buyers
have all been satisfied. And I've bought a few expensive items and I've
always been satisfied.
