Hi Dennis-

Yeah, I figured you weren't really ready for the upgrade, I was just letting you
know that your system will probably upgrade fine. I haven't seen any old
printers that won't work under XP (maybe with more basic drivers, though). Your
external CD burner could be a problem, and it's 50-50 with old scanners.

Soon, you'll have no choice if you want to run newer software, of course.
Already many programs won't run under W98 (by design).

The good news is that used computers are cheap. My next door neighbor just got a
used Dell, 800MHz P3, 256MB, 20GB disk, nice NVidia graphics card, modem, LAN,
and 17" Viewsonic monitor for $250 on EBay.
