I have a JMI Newt with a rotating cage, and it's a bitch to collimate. That is,
in order for the collimation to remain perfect with rotation, you really have to
make sure everything is aligned. So whatever method you use, make sure that it
keeps both tube segments perfectly aligned and doesn't allow any sag. Also, make
sure you have enough degrees of freedom in your spider to really do a proper
collimation. Things like having the mirror a little uncentered, which are
normally harmless (because you can compensate with the angle of the mirror) will
kill you when you have a rotating tube.
