Hi Rod, I think you can save a lot of money (if you don't count your time!)
making a big scope (20" or bigger) by grinding your own mirror. It's hard
to beat the prices on Chinese dobs 12" or smaller. Even in the 16" range,
those Meade mirrors still come up now and then ...
