Now you pissed me off. Have you EVER MET MR. JETER? I seriously doubt
it and if you claim you have I wouldn't believe it. Why do you think
this man is an arrogant SOB ? Because he makes commercials that say he
wants to win? That he likes hear the fans boo him on the road?
THEY ARE COMMERCIALS YOU FOOL MEANT TO DRUM UP INTEREST IN BASEBALL.
He has proven himself a winner and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.
No one has more post-season hits
He has the HIGHEST batting average in All Star history with a minimum
of 5 appearances that includes EVERYONE IN HISTORY not just Yankees.
He is the only player to EVER win All Star MVP and World Series MVP in
the SAME YEAR
He has six American League Championships and four World Series wins.
He has NOTHING left to prove and nothing that has happened since last
years world series has changed even one thing. He still won, he still
accomplished all those things and nothing you do or say can take any
of that away, ever.
Oh and BTW numbskull this guy is class act of a person. The first full
season he was here making no more than league MINIMUM he started a
foundation WITH HIS OWN MONEY called Turn2 to help prevent kids from
using drugs and for treatment programs. No guarantees of fame or
fortune or even that he would even play the next year. I don't know
what commercials you see but any given day in the NY metro area you
can see Mr. Jeter spout anti drug messages a dozen times a day. 3 or 4
new ones a year seem to pop up. All this guy does is help out in the
community. Every player in the major leagues calls him a class act and
the most say he is the NUMBER ONE player they want on their team
first. WHY because he is that kind of person and that kind of player.
Wonder why the Red Sox put Manny Ramirez on waivers last fall? Hey
anyone could have had him if he was so great. Why did NO ONE take him?
Plenty of teams could have afforded him. Why then because he is
considered bad in the clubhouse and selfish.
You think Jeter is arrogant because he likes to win well stupid so
does EVERYONE ELSE its sports there always has to be a winner and a
looser. If you don't want to win they you shouldn't be playing.
If you hate the Yankees because they won 26 championships and you
think they bought them you are seriously delusional. 20 of those
championships all before 1977 were all done before free agency, before
players could move around freely, before players earned more than your
average dime store clerk. The Yankees did what EVERY OTHER TEAM DID
they scouted and signed the best players they could. Seems they were
better than every one else at it.
This year it was the Red Sox who won, sincerely congratulations they
deserved it.
But Derek Jeter does not deserve your assinine comments.
