Same optic set eyepieces as GSO but a couple in the GTO (HOO house
brand) line were (small chance still are) only fully ctd not the FMC
version. Maybe one of those was what you used to compare against the
UO? I have a hard time believing the contrast difference was in the
direction you stated.

At first I questioned the value of my GSO 6mm as there is no field
stop by design in that FL in the series. After finding it had no
eminent flaring, and determining the eyelash curb feeler technique
highly applicable, and that they were so razor sharp and contrasty
against others, I was hooked especially at $20 a pop! I now have the
4mm and it is just as good (does have a field stop) and for the
configuration/FL surprisingly easy to use.
