Well said, Jan. There's no doubt about it that there are fewer young
folks getting interested in amateur astronomy. Many of the probable
reasons have been touched on in this thread, but I'm not sure which are
the most important. I'd like to die knowing that I got SOMEONE
interested in watching the night sky. It's a hobby that becomes a
lifestyle, and it makes one's life better.
