Folks,

Thanks to all the replies. The cheapest solution is indeed getting a
PCMCIA USB2.0 card following more research with the help of Steve's
initial reply. Also, it is not possible for video recording directly to
an external storage device using, for example, the Maxtor One-Touch
external hard drives as I just confirmed.

I have been quite happy with my Phillips ToUCam Pro and the only fly in
the ointment has been the USB1.1 port on my laptop which did not permit
me to max out on the capture and recording of even more frames.

Aside from forgetting to stick a UV-IR Cur filter, here is my latest
