Perhaps the simplest approach is the new Meade imager, which is USB
2.0 and comes with its own software. Its been getting pretty good
reviews, and for $300 en toto it'll be hard to go too far wrong.

I'm hoping for one of these gadgets under Old Tannenbaum <grin>
