I have an old 60x700mm refractor with 0.965" focuser and I use a
0.965-to-1.25" adapter so I can use 1.25" eyepieces. My current
low-power eyepiece is a 1.25" 25mm Plossl with a 50 or 52 degree AFOV.
I want to get a longer focal length 1.25" eyepiece (such as Televue
32mm Plossl or 24mm Panoptic) to get maximum TFOV out of this scope.
My concern is that the scope's 0.965" focuser or the adapter will
restrict the field of view in the 32mm Plossl or the 24mm Panoptic
such that I won't be getting the full field of view. Will the edges of
the field of view be blacked out or merely darkened but 'useable'?
Thanks.
