I haven't seen this mentioned, but I would think you would take a major contrast
hit from light reflecting and scattering both inside the glass and from
structures behind it. If you used an uncoated mirror, I think you would want to
make sure your cell was flat black, and you would want to polish and AR coat the
back side of the mirror.
