Uh, you are supposed to use an eyepiece when you use the scope. The PST uses
a rotating multi-sided prism to do its focusing by changing the path length
through the prism as it rotates. That might have something to do with what
you see without an eyepiece. You should not expect any kind of useful image
without the eyepiece in place. Clear skies to you.
