The ST4, is an _exclellent_ autoguider. It is probably the best unit that
was every pruduced at this sort of pricing (the STV beats it, but look at
the price...). It is a bit of a 'black art' to drive (limited display, and
a lot of 'non obvious' codes, but once these are mastered, you can chose a
star, focus it, train the system, and guide, as quickly as any other
method, and in many cases better (the internal algorithm is very good
indeed). It can also guide just about anything, because of having real
'relay' outputs.
