As I recall there is normally a 3 month lead-time, in other words that
magazine you just got in the mail took 3 months from first planning session
to completed product hitting the post office.
(At least that is how long it used to take back in the stone ages of the
60's/70's/80's, it is probably still at least 2 months these days.)
