We have a simulation that models known physical processes and yields an
output that matches actual observations when cold dark matter is
assumed. This _is_ experimental evidence supporting the cold dark matter
theory.
All experiments begin with assumptions. If the experiment produces true
results, that is taken as evidence (not proof) that the assumptions are
valid. It makes no difference whether the experiment takes place in a
computer or a test tube.
