Re: Bill please

Hi Doink,

If you are interested in DSO's, a Newtonian may be a better choice.
They offer better wide field views than the SCT and larger aperture (for
the price) than the apo.

In the C9.25 vs Tak102 case, surely aperture wins in every aspect except
wide field views. I have the C9.25 but not the Tak102 but I have
looked through many high end 4" apos including the Tak102. The Tak102
can never outperform the C9.25 (except for wide field views as I
mentioned earlier).

Last night I viewed Saturn with a cheap Chinese Mak90 and a Tak60.
Surely, the view in the Tak60 is more contrasty but I can only see the
whole Cassini division with the Mak90. The cost of the Tak60 OTA is
about 4 times that of the Mak90. This a proof of the aperturer rule.
