Only recently have I realised that you are indeed just kids playing in
a wading pool rather than being out on the stormy seas of astronomy
where the great minds ventured.

When Albert adopted the 'Time Machine' as a working model it certainly
should have signalled an outrageous end to an era that began with
Newton.Maybe it is too late as celestial cataloguing descends into a
consumerist plaything full of gizmos while still retaining the name of
astronomy.

The nightmare of sounding perfectly reasonable while being perfectly
wrong must seem like a great advantage in an era when people do not
care about their astronomical heritage however the consequences will be
passed as a growing weakness from one generation to the next.Like
Narcissus gazing at her own image in a pool and being unable to be
drawn away from it,the cataloguer can no longer see the treasures that
were cast aside to make way for their precious telescopes.
