I have been on sci.astro.amateur since its inception. Over the years,
I have seen its usefulness plummet. I once received valuable and useful
responses from well-meaning people when I asked a question. My posts
over the last two years have generated threads that went off on wild
tangents that had nothing even remotely to do with my question or with
astronomy. I have also seen many very wonderful people quit this group
in disgust. Just another reason I approach sci.astro.amateur with
caution.
I apologize for being so blunt.
Clear skies.
