Current reports from numerous Takahashi TOA-130 owners state that their
scopes are AT LEAST as good as Astro-Physics scopes. Some of these owners
also own AP refractors, so they have no reason to be biased. Check out the
Yahoo Takahashi and Refractors Groups, as well as the Astromart Forums.
I've read a great deal about the TOA-130, and ALL indications are that it is
AT LEAST as good as the AP130. I'd love to own either scope.
I no longer believe the claims that AP is superior to Takahashi or TEC or
TMB. Maybe that used to be the case, bit it doesn't appear to be true now.
