In your sidereal foolishness * you do gauge the rotation of the Earth
against the Sun as 24 hours exactly and then gauge the rotation of the
Earth against a distant star as 23 hours 56 min 04 ,the former being
incorrect hence the neccesity of the Equation of Time, the latter being
a 4 year and 1 day calendrical average based on an annual orbit
calculated in terms of equable 24 hour days .
So it is an unpleasant task to remain with cataloguers who do not have
the capability to recognise that the pre-Copernican equable 24 hour day
translates into independent axial rotation at 15 degrees per hour with
a Copernican/Keplerian heliocentric framework.Cataloguers read the
Earth's rotation directly off the celestial sphere at 23 hours 56 min
04 sec.
With all due respect, you show no inclination towards comprehending the
above translation for independent axial rotation via the Equation of
Time principles thus proving my point that most of humanity is correct
in the relationship between clocks and astronomy but cataloguers and
theorists are an isolated bunch who have given themselves choices they
do not have.Allow me to show you an accurate expression of your
condition using Copernicus notwithstanding that it is his heliocentric
work you mangle -
" .... although they have extracted from them the apparent motions,
with numerical agreement, nevertheless . . . . They are just like
someone including in a picture hands, feet, head, and other limbs from
different places, well painted indeed, but not modeled from the same
body, and not in the least matching each other, so that a monster would
be produced from them rather than a man. Thus in the process of their
demonstrations, which they call their system, they are found either to
have missed out something essential, or to have brought in something
inappropriate and wholly irrelevant, which would not have happened to
them if they had followed proper principles. For if the hypotheses
which they assumed had not been fallacies, everything which follows
from them could be independently verified." De revolutionibus, 1543"
