Zarkovic, you can always add DSCs later to the 8"... but you can't
change the 6" into an 8"!
You'll also discover that, with the right aids, you are able to find
things----and "on your own" without go-to or digital setting circles.
With the Telrad, Telrad finder charts (Starry Night Pro can generate
charts with the Telrad overlay--you'll have fun generating your own
tours and finder maps), and Turn Left at Orion or one of the other books
that have been mentioned, you'll be tracking down all sorts of DSOs.
And you can always spring for AstroCards, a real inexpensive set of
finder cards, as a cheap substitute for DSCs.
One of the earliest "rules" is that there is no substitute for aperture.
Do keep us posted.
