To each his own...

I have had an ASGT mount for 6 months. The first week or so I had it,
I used it once to find out how it didn't work, once to find out how it
did work.

Since then it has just sat in the corner gathering dust.... I have
other EQ mounts that I use regularly but not this one. I have come to
appreciate the simplicity of the RV-6 mounts and the Meade RG mounts,
almost like a DOB that tracks.

I think some people (like me) are fundementally star hoppers, others
have other priorities. A good deal of the pleasure I get from
observing is looking around, finding stuff, putting that big puzzle
together from little pieces. To me the sky is like a hidden treasure
map, if someone shows me the treasures it ruins it.

I think in my heart, I am a star hopper, I am just waiting to find a
home for that ASGT so I have some more room.
