I've never had a single problem with the controller, and it generally
puts objects within the field of view of my 15mm ultrascopic (.65
degree TFOV) and often at the edge of 10mm radian (.5 degree TFOV).
When its very cold the batteries need to be fresh, but I've used the
scope for hours in cold weather with no problem.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Your experience agrees with my
impression from following several on-line forums. I have yet to hear of
serious problems with Intelliscope. Given the rapidity with which the
LXD-55 problems appeared all over the net, I would have expected to see
some mention if there were problems.
