Do you have the Messiers added in your Sky Database Manager?

Select Data -> Sky Database Manager...

If "Messier Objects" is not there and checked, you need to add it.

How do I get the 'M' labels for Messier objects in The Sky V? I seemed to have turned on all the label options one would need, but nothing. Common Names with Messier checked under Setup Labels.

Yes, it's selected. Perhaps I need to have the CD in the machine? I'll try it.
It made no difference whether the CD was there. It looks like the M objects all appear as blue circles. Maybe something else is overriding the settings.

I think I had this problem once before, but certainly don't recall how I fixed it.
