7mm is about the maximum pupil dilation [gets less with age;-(] and I'd
guess that you'd need more than x1400 on the 10m Keck [eg 10m/7mm =
1428].
Any bright object in the field eg Moon, star or planet would
effectively stop-down the human iris and would need an even higher
eyepiece power to use the full 'scope aperture. Best to use a CCD
camera and share the view with everyone - in comfort;-)
