The capacity to use a clock and a telescope together does not make a
person an astronomer and especially people who not only cannot defend
the basic Copernican heliocentric insight but accept a dumb
quasi-geocentric view originating through Flamsteed and Newton.
A diseased mind that cannot drop the stellar background reference and
adopt the principles of the annual orbital motion of the Earth, just as
Copernicus,Kepler and Galileo did while actively supporting a peevish
tyrant like Newton (who had no intuitive feel for astronomical
principles) can only be the worse sort of vandals in existence.
No graphics or equipment can explain how apparent retrogrades are
resolved by a faster Earth taking an inner orbital circuit overtaking
the positions of the slower moving outer planets,a person either gets
the insight or does not.

That simple explanation based on a common heliocentric axis for all the
planets and the Earth's annual orbital motion was mangled by Newton
who thought retrogrades are resolved by framehopping to the Sun -
"For to the earth they appear sometimes direct, sometimes stationary,
nay, and sometimes retrograde. But from the sun they are always seen
direct.."

Any reaction other than this is a really dumb and utterly stupid way to
look on how retrogrades are rresolved is an intellectual hooligan of
the worst kind.
Call me what you will but as dramatic as the Copernicus insight
actually is,the specific type of mangling by Newton is just as
dramatic. That I have to come here and present it again and again is a
small price to pay for this dark human era and the dilution of
astronomy to little more than boys with toys.
