I haven't done this... yet. But I plan to. After closely studying a PST,
I see no reason that the existing eyepiece barrel can't be removed and
replaced with a shorter one. That is what I plan on doing in order to
let me place the sensor of a video camera at the PST's focal plane. I
don't know if anyone is producing a commercial mod along these lines- I
plan on making my own adapter.
