VENUS AND NUNKI: When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look
south. See that star very close to Venus? That's Nunki, a blue giant
224 light years from Earth. Nunki is five times wider than the sun and
3300 times more luminous. To receive the same heat, an Earth circling
Nunki would have to be located beyond the orbit of Pluto. Venus will be
gliding by Nunki tonight and tomorrow.
