Even worse, in my opinion, is no quoting, because then you end up
like Bob May, where no one has any idea what the heck he's talking
about.  You end up with conversations that look backwards, like this
one.  It may sound reasonable that way, but top posting is frowned
upon in large part because it makes it difficult to determine the
context.
