However, in my case, I did not mean simply "altered", but "altered in a
negative way". That is, I meant damaged: a component of the psyche that
can lead to personal harm or harm to others, or that can make the victim
dangerous. I wasn't talking about generic changes- obviously, we all
change from moment to moment, and we can occasionally experience large
changes- something that can either be positive or negative.
