Sounds like your browser is automatically expanding the jar file when it
shouldn't be. What OS and browser are you using? You should be choosing
"Save to disk" rather than "Open". You want to end up with the jar file on
your disk as this is the Java executable.

I can see I will need to build a Windows .exe file for this since leaving it
as a jar is causing problems.
