After the files have been extracted, which one runs the program?
IE in XP downloads the .zip and tries to open it with the built in windoze zip prog. Right click on the zip file , choose 'open with' , look for your Java prog, and away you go :-)
I think I'm almost there. I right clicked, and directed the 'open with' to my C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin folder, only to learn that it contains 18 executables. The most obvious one, named "java.exe" does not run the program.
Try "java -jar whereism13.jar" in a cmd shell.
Check the default association for jar files. If it is winzip or some other archive manager, then you may wish to change it back to being associated with java.
Best Regards, John .
