I find that I'm working my way down with binoculars. I started with 20x80s
(borrowed from my stepdad after he passed away), then I tried 15x70s, and
I'm now using 9x60s. Funny you mentioned 7x50s as that seems the next
logical progression downward.

I think my subconcious goal is to ultimately get down to a 6x30 monocular,
so I can sell off several thousand dollars worth of what is turing out to be
lightly used equipment :-)
