In fact, given the configuration of the scope and hand truck, it may be a
good idea to make a cushion of some sort between the scope and the hand
truck out of styrofoam, or the kind of foam that eyepiece case interiors
are made of...
My scope/hand truck is a much closer match than Joe's appears to be, so I
can strap the scope directly to the hand truck without any interface
materials... I just use a piece of wood between the OTA and the rocker
box, to ensure the OTA doesn't shift on it's altitude bearings while it is
strapped to the hand truck.
As simple as that..
