Re: Tempting the Weather Gods

Ya I had Galatica up there, figured I'd give it a run as a sidewalk
telescope, if it stays clear I'll be there tonight, as it'll be darker as FF
will be closing down early. With the normal DRY ( even if cold ) air back in
the desert, the ep didn't fog up. I had Mars in view, I did notice one
thing, while mars was low, ( this to MY eyesight ) I didn't get a good
image, but as it got higher up it came in nice. Now this could have been
because of mirror cooling down and as I said my eyesight wich has gone
downhill a bit over the years, it was ok with glasses on. I was able to get
a good view of Venus before it got to low. I had forgotten to bring any
other EP's with me so my 17mm telvue was all that I had to test with.

It was nice using it in some ways, as it's lighter in weight than B8 and way
shorter too.
